Since this Belle Epoque hotel opened its doors in July of 1900, paparazzi have been drawn here by its élite clientele, from aristocrats to movie stars. Designed by two Venetians, the Art Nouveau structure preserves its essence of bygone days and offers guests refined hospitality in an exclusive atmosphere. After its renovation in 1905-06, the Des Bains grew to be one of Italy’s largest seaside resorts and was easily one of the most popular in post-war Europe.
